N2  - The discussion about influence of mass communication has passed a long journey. Some preceding thought give a great power toward the mass communication to influence the public. However, the social researchers slowly change their point of view about how the media influences the society. It is a kind of the new view which does not give a big degree of strength toward the order of mass communication. The main statement of this point if view is often called the limited influence model. 
This research is a quantitative analysis research with survey method. Purposely to measure about the influence of Persiba Bantul press in Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper toward the interest of watching the match to stadium for the Paserbumi members Bantul regency, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The data has obtained by spreading questioner to 101 Paserbumi members then calculated by the plain regression analysis and processed by SPSS version 17 for Windows. 
Based on the research that has completely done, it shows that there is a positive and significant influence between Persiba Bantul press in Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper toward the interest of watching the match to stadium for the Paserbumi members Bantul regency, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. All of them can be seen from the result of correlation coefficient for about 0,325 which is appreciable high enough, it means that the higher Persiba Bantul press the more interest of watching the match to stadium. Whereas, the determination coefficient R2 = 0,106 at the significant standard for about 5%, it means that the influence of Persiba Bantul press in Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper (X) toward the interest of watching the match to stadium (Y) is about 10,6% and the rest is 89,4% influenced by other variable besides Persiba Bantul press in Kedaulatan Rakyat daily newspaper.
