abstract: Be created as human with virtuous, know the means about human, nature,
and God are final destiny of life along community’s norm to rule them. In order to
make Islamic boarding purpose optimal, many ways have been done include
created regulations that be turned into rule as obligations of students. Self control
is psychological factor that related to discipline behavior.
The research’s purpose is to know the relations of self control and
discipline behavior of Islamic boarding students. Its subject is students of
Komplek N of Krapyak Islamic boarding of Yayasan Ali Maksum Yogyakarta.
Subject amount is 87 students. The sampel taken by purposive sampling method.
Data collected by using both self control and discipline behavior scale. Statistical
analysis method that be used is correlation of product moment and using SPSS
16.00 for windows.
Its result by using correlation analysis method, gain as 0.789, and R2
as 0.623 with P = 0.000. This result means that there are significant correlation
between self control and discipline behavior of Islamic boarding students. R2 as
0.623 means that self control gives effective amount as 62.3% toward discipline
behavior collectively. It means there are still 37.7% of another factor that
effecting discipline behavior.
