        abstract = {The purpose of this research is describing the subjective well-being in
single middle adulthood, subjective well-being factor and meaning of subjective
well-being. Informants consisted of two males and two females who are
undergoing intermediate single life with an age range of adults.
This research used qualitative methods with phenomenological approach.
Data collection in this research used interview and observation. Used the
encoding as analysis of the data.The results of this research showed a difference
in subjective well-being in four informants, it is influenced by the reflection of life,
factors and different meaning of subjective well-being in each informant. The first
informant illustrates that today is better than the life of the past because of the
discovery of love that made a prosperous and better life. The second informant
illustrates that the meaning of well-being is devoted to parents. The third
informant portraits welfare of life from inwardly and outwardly because of
religion and gets values of life from the power of the Lord (Tuhan). The fourth
informant obtains a reflection of life by being able to be more helpful to others.
