abstract: This research is aimed to know the happiness dynamicity of volunteers of ‘Pusat
Studi dan Layanan Difabel’ (Centre of the Study and Disable Service) or PSLD of
Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, which is focused on the PSLD’s volunteers’
process to reach the happiness, factors affecting volunteers’ happiness, volunteers’
criteria of happiness. This research uses qualitative research approach and using
interview and observation techniques as the data collecting method. The result of this
research shows that factors supporting happiness are such as : religiosity, praying;
praying for the goodness, the rich social life, supporting environment, good
education, helping others, being useful for others, being thankful for all we get,
having supporting close relatives. As long as be volunteers both informan cannot lose
from difficulties, but the difficulties is not resisting the happiness. Both of the
volunteers show the character of respect to their own selves, optimism, open minded, and
also self controlling. Thus, both of the volunteers can reach the happiness, yet they have their
own happiness since both of them have had and shown a strong character and good deeds.
