This study is a quasi experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. Variables in the study included the independent variables such as DELC learning models use PBL, as well as the dependent variable is higher-order thinking skills of students. The population in this study were all class of X at SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. The samples in this study with purposive sampling technique, so the class was selected as the control class and X.5 X.8 class as a class experiment. Using test data collection techniques. The instrument used is a matter of pretest, posttest questions. Analysis using statistical parametric independent samples t test and paired sample t test. The results showed that there were differences in higher-order thinking skills among students who take DELC learning model using PBL compared to students who take DELC model learning use conventional methods (independent samples t test with Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 ≤ 0.05, then Ha is accepted). An increase in higher-order thinking skills of students who take DELC learning model using PBL is higher than DELC learning model using conventional methods (value Asymp. Sig. (1-tailed) independent samples t test = 0.000 ≤ 0.05, then Ha is accepted).
