The good quality teaks can be determined from the color and age of the wood. One way that can be used to determine the age of Teak Trees by calculating the number of growth rings of the tree. Counting the total of growth rings in the wood can be do it manually by experts is to look at the tree cross pieces. Based on the studied in the previous study, we developed the research of digital image processing for detecting the growth rings of wood with doing analysis the image of a tree and compiring with manual observation. In this research, there are three main processes, that is pre-processing, processing and analysis. To knowing the accurate method at each stage then do some experiment. The experiments were performed using 14 images of teak trees obtained from 3 different places. From the experiment get result obtained appropriate steps for image processing Teak tree is In the pre-processing stage of the processes carried out: grayscalle, contrast. Next on stage after the pre-processing is the skeleton morphology. And for analysis is labeling process and the counting. The accuracy of the obtained results a minimum value: -444.44\%, maximum value: 93.33\%, and the average value of accuracy: 68.56\%. } }
