abstract: This study about the use of manuscripts for use in the Library and Regional
Archives (BPAD) Yogyakarta which aims to determine the extent of utilization
for user codex. This research method using quantitative descriptive method. And
techniques of data collection using observation, documentation, and a
questionnaire using a Likert scale with the categories strongly agree, agree,
disagree and strongly disagree. User size is determined by using the formula taro
Yamane of the population in this study, pemustaka who visit the rare collection in
2012, amounting to 767 people with a sample of 89 people. For sampling
techniques the author uses sampling inidental. Then the data were processed using
software SPSS version 16 for windows.Based on the data that has been processed,
it is known that the use of manuscripts for user in BPAD Yogyakarta is goog.
known indicator that have the highest value is 76.77%, then further indicator of
the completeness of collection of 68.04%, an indicator of the availability of
facilities search by 67.59%, 60.71% requirement indicator, the indicator motif 57,
02%, and an indicator that has the lowest value that is in interest of 49.33%.
