The subjects were 12 children who are members of the experimental group. Characteristics of the subjects include: a) preschool children (from three to five years), b) indicate low social skills. The experimental group received treatment in the form of learning by storytelling as much as ten times the meeting. The design of study which used is one group pre-test—post-test design. The measuring instruments which used in this study is an adaptation of Preschool and Kindergarten Behavior Scales (PKBS) (Scale A: Social Skills Scale) from Merrell (1994). The methods of data analysis techniques which used are Intraclass Correlation Coefficient Two Way Mixed Model, to determine the inter-rater reliability and the Wilcoxon Signed- Rank Test, to test the difference scores of pre-test and post-test. The results of Intraclass Correlation Coefficient Two Way Mixed Model shows inter-rater reliability is quite high (pre-test 0.729 and post-test 0.856). The results of the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed that learning by storytelling can enhance social skills of preschoolers (p = 0.001), it means hypothesis in this research accept. %K Keywords: storytelling, social skills of preschoolers %D 2013 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA %L digilib12457
