        abstract = {The duty of Public Relations is to build the harmonious relationship with
both the internal and external public company. One of the ways that can be used
to build the relationship is by making the CSR Program. CSR or Corporate Social
Responsibility is a program that aims to bring some benefits of the company?s
existence around the communities. CSR Program which is conducted with the aim
to make the prosperous communities certainly will give a positive effect for the
company. In Indonesia, there was a rule about CSR Program, but many companies
only made CSR Program to implement the rule without regard to the actual
characteristics of CSR Program. CSR Program should be implemented
continually.
Education is the field which is the most widely used by companies in
implementing CSR Program. Most of these programs are just giving an education
scholarship to the university students and the achievement students. There were
not many companies made educational training on CSR Program. Therefore, PT.
Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk made educational training on CSR Program. That
program is Vocational Training. The method used in this research was qualitative
research method with the method of data validity with the triangulation source.
The theory of social contract and corporate social responsibility are used.
By Vocational Training, PT. Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk wants to give a
scholarship to high school and vocational school graduates which are less able to
participate in educational training for a year. During the training, the participants
will be given the facilities that support the training. Those facilities are uniform,
safety equipments, pocket money, and insurance. After graduating in training, the
students will be distributed to various companies in Indonesia. CSR Program in
PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk has been going on from 2009 until now.
