abstract: This research aims to determine whether there is a positive influence and
significant, and also how much the influence skill librarians to interest visit of
library patrons in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Banjarnegara library. This research
includes a quantitative research which has independent variables (social skill
librarians) and dependent variables (interest visit of library patrons). To collect
data, the researchers used questionnaires, interviews, and observation method as a
complement and literature reviews. For sampling, using proportionate stratified
random sampling technique as many as 93 people. After data was collected, then
analyzed using mean analytical and mean grand techniques, and also simple linear
regression to obtain quantitative results. Data is processed by using the SPSS
program version 16 for windows. The analysis results showed that there is a
positive and significant social skill influences to the interest visit of library
patrons in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Banjarnegara library. It can be seen from the
simple linear regreession between variables X (social skill) to Y (interest visit of
library patrons) which is positive and significant with a value R-square or the
coefficient of determination is 0,516 with a t value of 0,516 and the probability or
significant of 0,000. The results showed that the social skill of librarians in
Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Banjarnegara library was categorized very well. To
increase the interest visit of library patrons in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2
Banjarnegara library, the librarians sought to develop an interest in reading on
library patrons itself, so the spiritual needs of information on the library patrons
will also increase, then the intensity of library visit will increase too.
