        abstract = {Fostering interest in reading is a kind of library services in assisting and giving guidance to the visitors or the community served by the library. Fostering it is used developing an interest reading, skilled in selecting and using books, able to evaluate the material and have a habit of reading the information effectively, and the pleasure of reading. 
At the library of SD Negeri Ngabean Yogyakarta, there are 9 kinds of reading activities: organizing a contest, choosing reading material for the visitory, serving in a variety of ways to teach school associated with the tasks in the library, providing the comfront sitation to stimulate the student in seeking and finding their own reading based on their interests, the library holding a variety of reading activities, decoration room, introduce the life history of great people and introducing the famous. 
The enhancements factor of the fostering interests reading are the factors that motivate a person to read. They can come from inside (internal motivation) and outside (external motivation). The other point there is the inhibiting factors the lack of library, the less of service and equipments inside the small room of library and no collaboration with other.
