N2  - In 2014 is the year of election for Indonesia, include in Yogyakarta
city. For that reason, Yogyakarta Election Commitee (Komisi Pemilihan Umum)
need to have information system about the result of election that visually
appeared. This make the society easilly to see the speared of the result of the
election.
To solve this problem KPU need to have the system that can give
information in visual form and can update data quickly. Geographic Information
System (GIS) is the right choose because the system not only give the data also
showing the map location that needed. Therefore the information showed in
interesting form.
The GIS was built using MapInfo software and PHP, JavaScript, and
HTML programming languages. MySQL use as database management system.
And then to display a map using MapServer software. Based on this research,
99% responder agree that the GIS is make to easy for the users to see the of the
result of the election of Yogyakarta City.
