        abstract = {The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between moral
reasoning with cheating behavior in State Islamic Junior High School
Gondowulung Bantul.Cheating behavioris efforts which are done by a person but
it doesn?tfair to get a good achivement. Moral reasoning is one thought process to
decide on standards bad either true or falsea thing. There is a negative
correlation between moral reasoning in students' cheating behavior in the
hypothesis was proposed. The population in this study is 198 students from class
VIIIin State Islamic Junior High School Gondowulung Bantul.Samples are
determined with a non randam quota sampling technicque and it is gotten90
students. The method uses quantitative. Measuring instruments which is used
data is moral reasoning scale which was adapted by Pratidarmanastiti (1991)
and the scale of cheating behavior. The technique of analysis data which is usedis
Product Moment from Pearson correlation test with the help of SPSS version
16.00. The results of this study there are no correlation between moral reasoning
with cheating behavior in State Islamic Junior High SchoolGondowulung Bantul
with correlation -0.087 and p = 0.207.
