description: This study aims to describe how religious coping in mothers who act  as a single parent. Religious coping is a process to be able to cope with the  negative effect with involve religious elements. Mothers who acts as a single  parent is a woman widowed, separated or divorced by her husband without  the marriage bond which serves as the backbone of the family in charge of  the financial, emotional and family' future .  The subjects in this study were three women who had been left for  dead by her husband or divorce with her husband. Two of the subjects was a  woman who left her husband dead and the subject is a woman who divorced  her husband. The subject is taken in accordance with the criteria in this  study. This study used a phenomenological approac. Collecting data in this  study using interviews and observation techniques.  The results showed that religious coping very large role in the daily  life of the subject, because the subject is more in need of God and depend on  God. The subjects were also more likely to use positive religious coping than  negative religious coping. It was stated able to reduce the pressure  experienced by the subjects, as well as positive impact in their lives. Subjects  were able to minimize the obstacles that occur mothers act as a single parent.  The positive thing is that many subjects do sincere, patient and grateful .
