Due to the nature of substances that have the characteristics of a depressant, hallucinogenic and stimulant,the substance can lead users into a three-states, i-e. exposure to personality disorders, acute infectious disease, and variety of diseases as a result of the drug abuse.Drug abuse and addiction can lead to social dysfunction problems, especially in social relationships with family and society. As a result of mental, emotional and psychological crisis, drug abuse can change the normal behavior to anti-social behavior, crime, and even the potential for self-injury due to attempts of killing himself through efforts to suicide by overdose. Since drug addiction causes negative consequences for the life of drug addict, both individually and their surroundung social environment, the Social and Rehabilitation Therapy services for drug abusers are implemented in an integrated one-stop center that can provide therapeutic and rehabilitation services based on biopsychosocial therapy through therapeutic community method which is implemented within the framework of the social welfare services. Social rehabilitation process through the implementation of therapeutic community method is intended to restore and develop the ability of a person who experienced the social dysfunction in order tonormalize their social function. This study also presents the theories, models and implementation in the process of therapy and rehabilitation including their social barriers, challenges and future projections in the area of social work, particularly in Panti Sosial Pamardi Putra Yogyakarta %D 2013 %K Keywords: Theurapeutic Community, NAPZA, Rehabilitation %L digilib13935
