abstract: The implementation of exam is evaluating how far the students know and
understand about the topic (subject matter). The result of the exam will be used to
measure the level of the goal of learning the object. Now, information and
communication technology has been grows up rapidly, require that all fast,
efficient, easy and qualify. Likewise in the education, conventional exam shifted
toward computerized as called online exam. But, cheating is grows up with varied
action that can’t separate the real exam and cheating exam.
The method of Online Exam Control Procedures (OECPs) used to
decrease or clean up the cheat in the exam. OECPs method divided by 3, that is
time based, restrict the access, and change the character of the exam. To simplify
the implementation of theOECPs method, we created using CodeIgniter (CI) as a
framework and the system built with a Web-based
The result of OECPs implementation and testing has been done. We can
know that the OECPs method can be applied in UIN Sunan Kalijaga, that: based
on time, 1st OECPs explain that the exam held simultaneously, and 5th OECPs
explain that the exam held in a limited time. Based on limiting student access, 4th
OECPs explain that students can work only one question at a time and cannot
access completed questions, 7th OECPs explain that using a specific browser that
can lock the exam page. Based on changing test characteristics, 3rd OECPs
explain that exam should randomize (scramble) question and 8th OECPs explain
that objective type questions should be rotated/modified on each exam every term.
