%X Adolescence that live in orphanage experienced more complicated life in their childhood than the  generally. Those experiences can impact their whole life, especially when they grow to be an  adolescent in the transition period. Therefor, to be able to be optimistic in life, those experiences  should not become disturbances to their latest and future life.  Forgiveness can be a way out to lose or to accept those experiences in a better way. That’s why,  this research is designed to examined the influence of forgiveness training in enhancing the  optimism of adolescence that lived in orphanage.  This research examine 11 adolescence that live in Muhammadiyah Girl’s Orphanage in  Yogyakarta using an experimental study. The experiment is designed as a forgiveness training that  held in two days and then follow-up two weeks after it. Only 4 of them attended the follow-up  session. The statistical result shows p= 0,465 for prestest-posttes session and p= 0,143 for  posttest-follow up session. It means that forgiveness does not influence the enhancement of  optimism of adolescence that lived in orphanage. It may caused by the participants’ readiness,  commitment and experiences, narcissim, and indirect influence between variables.
