"This research aims to measure the quality of the night sevice in Kantor Arsip dan\r\nPerpustakaan Kota Yogyakarta based on hope and perception using a method of\r\nLibQual+TM and also to find out whether the library night service dimensions\r\nmeet the expectations and perception of library-user’s at Kantor Arsip dan\r\nPerpustakaan Kota Yogyakarta by using a a method of LibQual+TM. This research\r\nincludes research survey by using descriptive quantitative approach. Data\r\ncollection method in this study uses questionnaire, observation, interviews and\r\ndocumentations methods. Accidental sampling was done in the sample collection,\r\nwith the total sampling as many as 97 respondents from 3.478 population of the\r\nnight library-user’s obtaining Yamane formula. This research shows that night\r\nservice quality in Kantor Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Yogyakarta expressed\r\n“good” in general of library-users. This can be seen from the calculation of the\r\nresults showed that the average value of perception of library user is 27,53 and the\r\naverage score of minimum hope is 27,32. While the average value of the libraryuser’s\r\nhope they desired is 29,51. Thus, it can be known that the perception is\r\nhigher that the average minimum expectations, so it can be obtained that the gap\r\nof Adequacy Gap (AG) is 0,21 (positive) and the value of Superiorty Gap (SG) is\r\n– 2,90 (negative). Based on the calculation Adequacy Gap (AG) and Superiorty\r\nGap (SG), the dimensions that have not yet met the hopes and perception are\r\ninformation Access (AI) dimension and 3 statements namely the quietness of\r\nlibrary room at night, the arrangement of library collection (book, of reference\r\nmaterial, magazine, newspaper, ect) the ease of library-users in the prosess of\r\ninformation retrieval, and the independence of library-users in search ing\r\ninformation in the library at night, yet the survey shows that those items have not\r\nbeen good and need further improvements. From the research, it can be\r\nrecommended that it is needed to complete the library collection, also to increase\r\nhuman resources development relating to the arrangement of library collection,\r\nand the after side it is needed also to give user education."^^ .
