This research is a quantitative research. The variable in this study is a single variable that is the perception of the students about the effectiveness of user education. While the sub variable consists of three sub variables that are the affective, cognitive and psychomotor domain which are parsed into indicator which consists of twenty-seven (27) statement. Sampling technique in the study is simple random sampling, so in this study the sample captured randomly that gives the rights and equal opportunities to every subject to be selected into the sample. The sample in this study are eighty-three (83) respondents. The analysis of the data used by using the formula of mean and grand mean. The results that obtained from the calculation by using mean and grand mean formulas of each sub variable that is affective domain of 3.75 can be categorized as effective, cognitive domain of 3.83 can be categorized as effective, and psychomotor domains of 3.78 can be categorized as effective. Overall the mean of three sub variable calculated by using the formula grand mean is 3.78 which can be categorized as effective. So from the results, student perceptions about the effectiveness of user education FISIPOL library of Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta based on interval scale using the formula is effective.} }
