Arranging a schedule is a because there are many factors that must be considered, like subjects, lecturers, lecture halls and time. In this research a system that can solve scheduling problems will be built in the Faculty of Science and Technology UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The data that used in this system is academic data of Informatics and Industrial Engineering odd semester of 2013/2014. The system that will be built will apply Genetic Algorithm method. Genetic algorithm is one of optimization methods for scheduling problems that have steps such as initial population generation, selection, crossover, mutation, and elitism. This lectures scheduling system can provide information on the lectures schedule. The results of the study showed that the genetic algorithm can be applied well on lectures scheduling optimization, and it has fitness on average 0.93, and system functionality testing on 99,26%.
