N2  - The aim of this research were to determine the effect of taqrar
method application on student motivation and learning outcomes of
Biological Science on human respiratory system material for 8th grade
student in Borobudur Islamic State Junior High School (MTsN) year
2013/2014.
This research was categorized as a quasi-experimental with research
design pretest-posttest control group design. The selection of research
sample was conducted by using simple random sampling technique
respectively Class VIII A and VIII D were choosen as control and
experimental class. The experimental class was treated by using taqrar
method and the other was teached by lecture and discussion. The data were
collected through tests and questionnaires. The data were further analyzed
using the Mann Whitney U, Independent Sample T-test, and descriptive
analysis.
The result of this research showed that the average score of learning
motivation and posttest for the control class were 74,8 and 75,4 respectively
while for the experimental class were 79.9 and 85.0. Based on the results of
hypothesis on learning motivation and learning outcomes showed that P <
0.05. This means that the motivation and learning outcomes of the
experimental class was higher than the control class.
