Si., Najda Rifqiyati, S. Si., M. Si., abstract: Domestic chicken is a poultry commodity serves as a source of animal protein for Indonesia people. The presence of protozoa in chicken body is one of the factors that influence the chicken health and determine feasibility of consumption. The parasites on the chickens is a disease that causes a loss. One of the diseases that is often found in chickens caused by a parasitic Protozoa is coccidiosis. This research aims to identify endoparasites at domestic chicken feces on the variation of chicken growth phase, to determine the level of domestic chicken prevalence infected by endoparasites, and also to find out the frequency of protozoa endoparasites presence on domestic chicken in farms of Sardonoharjo village, Ngglik, Sleman. This research was conducted using two methods, that are native method with a solution of NaCl 0,9% and flotation methods to separate protozoa from other materials based on density. The research identified 4 types of protozoa found at domestic chicken feces in farm of Sardonoharjo, village, Ngaglik, Sleman, i. e. Eimeria tenella, E. acervulina, E. praecox dan E. maxima.. The highest prevalence of chickens infected by endoparasites is domestic chickens aged 20 days in Plumbon hamlet that reaches 16% of prevalence, and the lowest prevalence (0%) is domestic chickens aged 0 and 5 days of the three hamlets. The highest frequency of endoparasites is Eimeria tenella. This type of endoparasite is found in all farm in Sardonoharjo village. The presence of E. tenella infecting the most of chickens found in chickens aged 20 days in Plumbon hamlet reaches 16%, whereas the lowest presence are E. acervulina and E. maxima that reaches 4% and they are only found in farm of Plumbon hamlet. date: 2015-06-17 date_type: published pages: 72 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAK.
