This research has been conducted on August until October 2014 at Bogowonto Lagoon, Jangkaran, Temon, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The purpose of this research are to identify flying birds species and forage, diversity of species and its relation with the factor of the environment in the ecosystem of Bogowonto mangrove Lagoon. The reseacher use point count with ten meters in length for each location. The counting time in each point is 5-10 minutes. Collecting the data is based on the time of crepescular activity. It counts its abundance and diversity. The physical parameter is counted by temperature, wind velocity, and luminous intensity. The results of this research shows that there are ten species found with medium index value of diversity, that is mangrove 2,98 (in the morning) 3,48 (in the afternoon), replanting area 2,88 (in the morning) and 2,68 (in the afternoon) and creek 3,41 (in the morning) and 3,56 (in the afternoon). The highest abundance is species of Egretta alba and the lowest is Ardea sumatrana. In low the temperature, high wind velocity and low luminous intensity, the number of birds tend to be lesser than in normal temperature, normal wind velocity, and high luminous intensity. %K Crepescular, diversity Shannon-Wienner (H‟), abundance, abiotic factors. %D 2015 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib16401
