        abstract = {This study aims at examining management evaluation of Atma Jaya
Yogyakarta University Library (UAJY) by using perspective of Total Quality
Management (TQM). This research was qualitative research by using the
evaluation approach. The data collection methods were observation, interviews
and documentation. The process of data analysis used in this study were Miles and
Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and verification. Then the
data was also analyzed using quantitative data to measure the evaluation result in
the form of precentage. The data validity used in this credibility test were
triangulation and membercheck. This research concluded that: (1) Library of
UAJY apply focus management to the customer, (2) Library of UAJY has high
obsession on quality, (3) Library of UAJY uses scientific approach to make a
decision and problem solving, (4) Library of UAJY has commitment for quality,
(5) Library of UAJY has established a teamwork among employees in achieving
quality, (6) Library of UAJY are continuously doing improvement process based
on the results of external and internal audit, evaluation and review of labor
standards and benchmarking, (7) Education and training about TQM in the library
of UAJY are not adequate, (8) Library of UAJY provides freedom restrained form
of involvement and empowerment of employees, (9) Library of UAJY have unity
of command and unity of vision and mission in every employee (unity of
purpose), (10) Library of UAJY involve employees in decision making and
empower them in the development quality of the library. If it was presented in a
quantitative form, the libraries management of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University
90\% of the appropriate elements in Total Quality Management (Very Good).
Researcher suggested that library of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University should
improve the education and training, especially in Total Quality Management
(TQM) for all employees, so that the implementation of TQM can success.}
