N2  - The disclosure of public information (in indonesian : KIP) which has been
regulated in Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2008 (UU KIP), caused a public
corporation in Indonesia has the responsibility to providing the information
transparently. One of the public corporation is PT PLN (Persero), as a stateowned
corporation who successfully got the top rank for two consecutive years in
Pemeringkatan Keterbukaan Informasi Publik. Based on these PLN?s
achievement, researcher was interested to knows about how the strategy of
communication which has been conducted by Humas PT PLN to the
implementation of UU KIP.
This research used descriptive qualitative method. The result were analyzed
based on the implementation theory by George C. Edwards, then presented to the
communication strategy theory by Onong Uchjana to describe how the
communication strategy was conducted by Humas PT PLN (Persero). Based on
this research, the communication strategy has been conducted in a planned, and
in appropriate with the component of communication strategy. All the component
of communication strategy are gives impact and contribution to the factor of
implementation.
Furthermore, this research discovering that the communication in
implementation of UU KIP was divided into two ways, external and internal. It is
intended to makes the implementation has been running well and comprehensive;
can reaching all of the lines who involved in it, that is the public and the internal
circles of PT PLN (Persero).
