N2  - The purpose of this research is to see deeper how that self presentation is
formed specially at blind student of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. There are
three Informant in this research which all the natural blind since they was born.
The classification Informant is total blind and low visual. They have other activity
besides the as student. Become broadcaster, becoming social activist, and become
member of group band. The research done in informant residence environment to
be able to follow activity outside academic environment
Qualitative method with phenomenology approach use interview technique
research and use direct observation. Observation executed during the research
and at the time conducted of interview. The interview is to get of meaning self
presentation by personal and of all informant, and centrally at primary informant.
The result of this research is self presentation blind student of UIN Sunan
Kalijaga Yogyakarta represent form appearance self to be able to accepted in
society. That are not of pity, but just accepted with existence relate to ability and
talent of them. The way used by them are searching attention, pretend recognize
and make a moment as friendly, doing socialization, self offering, and enquire
spontaneously. The expectation are acceptance, do something with trust, have a
good friend, and have many friend. Self presentation of blind student of this UIN
Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta is same as a self existence in social environment.
