abstract: Hedonistic lifestyle  it is emphasizes the pleasure and satisfaction of 
material as the primary goal and avoid things that are unpleasant. One of the
factors that affect the hedonistic lifestyle is personality. This study aims to
determine the relationship between hedonistic lifestyle and ihsan personality on
the student of Sunan Kalijaga Islamic University.The Subjects in this study were
the students UIN Sunan Kalijaga of all the majors, with the number of subjects
were 305 students. The sampling technique in this research used the
proportionate stratified random sampling. 
The methods of collecting data in this study used a scale hedonistic
lifestyle and ihsan personality. The Data analysis using SPSS 16 for windows to
test the assumption of normality and linearity as well as product moment
correlation technique. the results in  this study shown that there was a significant
negative relationship between hedonistic lifestyle and ihsan personality on student
Sunan Kalijaga Islamic University with p = 0.001 it  means that the hypothesis in
this study is accepted.
