N2  - In this modern era, the development of film industry is so high, not only
on abroad especially Europe and US, but also in our country Indonesia. The
Genre is various, including comedy, drama, action, history and documentary film.
With this intense development, actually gives everyone chances to create film not
just as an entertainment, yet as an beneficial social critical.
The WATCHDOC community and Yogyakarta?s citizen have done it.
They created a documentary film with tittle ?Belakang Hotel?. They documented
the incident of dryness which have been suffered by Miliran, Gowongan, and
Penumping?s residents. This dryness is caused by water over consumtion of the
hotel which is builded arround them. The residents assume that what are they
suffered is the first time, since they lived there. It happened several years after the
hotel is builded.
According to the explanation, i did a research with tittle ?ANALISIS ISI
KRITIK SOSIAL DALAM FILM DOKUMENTER ?BELAKANG HOTEL?.
This research is aimed to know how important of social critical on the film of
?Belakang Hotel?.
As result of the research, founded social critical on the documentary film
of ?Belakang Hotel?. The percentage showed that Tindakan Komunikatif aspect is
the highest, with each proportion, Comprehensibility 33 % with total scene 35,
Truth 20,7 % with total scene 22, Normative Rightness 3,8 % with total scene 4,
Truthfulness 18,9 % with total scene 20. Tindakan Strategis aspect got 18,9 %
with total scene 20. Lebenswelt (Dunia-Kehidupan) got 4,7 % with total scene 5.
