%X This study aimed to determine experience of caregiver in the role as  attachment figure of children santri. Through this exposure is expected to explain the  experience of caregiver, caregiver‟s efforts and the factors that affect caregiver as a  attachment figure. This study used a qualitative phenomenology approach through  data collection method of observation and interviews, while data analysis was done  by using coding. Subjects in this study amounted to three caregiver, two of them  female and one male. The result of research shows that caregiver‟s experience in the  role as attachment figure include the first experience of caregiver with santri,  experience while together santri and experience becomes attachment figure for  santri. Experience of the first subject understood as provisions in settling down,  second subject understood role as attachment figure by aiming santri in good way,  while trhird subject understood as a way to make santri to be pious in supporting role  parents. Caregiver‟s efforts as a attachment figure is by attaching care and sensitive  to the needs of santri, motivate and understand santri and give attention and affection  (ro‟uufun rochiim) to santri. While the factors that influence the subjects in this  research is social support, internal working model of caregiver (information that  caregiver can be trusted and relied upon), caregiver‟s stability (being of caregiver  remain to santri), long time of santri when together with caregiver, caregiver‟s  responsivity and parent‟s spirituality.
