Influence Problem Based Learning model to higher order thinking skills of students in the material optical instruments. 2. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. the research variables include independent variables such as Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the dependent variable is higher order thinking skills. The population was class X SMA Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 7 2014 / 2015 year academic. With class XA and XC as sample. Class XA as control class and class XC as a class experiment. The used instrument in this study is test higher order thinking skills. Data analysis technique used statistical parametric t-test and normalized Gain (N-Gain).
