Influence Problem Based Learning model to higher order thinking skills of students in the material optical instruments. 2. An increase in higher order thinking skills of students in the material optical instruments. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. the research variables include independent variables such as Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the dependent variable is higher order thinking skills. The population was class X SMA Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 7 2014 / 2015 year academic. With class XA and XC as sample. Class XA as control class and class XC as a class experiment. The used instrument in this study is test higher order thinking skills. Data analysis technique used statistical parametric t-test and normalized Gain (N-Gain).
