abstract: This study titled User behavior In the Library Information Retrieval in
STTN-BATAN Yogyakarta has a purpose which describe how the process off
user is do in search of information and describe the user obstacles encountered to
surf the information. The method used in this study is a qualitative research
method. Data collection by observation, interviews, and documentation. Test the
validity of the observation data by extension, increase persistence in research and
membercheck. Analysis data using collection data, reduction data, presentation
and conclusion data. The results of this study are user have their own way of
doing information searches. One of them is by doing a search through the internet.
How that is done through different internet. Method do through the internet is
different. It is because internal factors and external factors. In doing information
searches, user find obstacles, one of which is sometimes the requested information
can not be found. Method user solve the problem is to ask for assistance to the
peers and lecturer.
