It is the only film that use stagging concept like an opera. The main character in this movie is Anna. There are many different features of speech are used in her utterances. That is the reason which makes the writer interested to observe how is the features of women?s language in Anna?s character of Anna Karenina movie and also the function of each feature. This research focuses on the analysis of the occurence of features of women?s language in Anna?s utterances and determine the function of each features. It uses the theory of women?s language proposed by Robin Tolmach Lakoff. This research uses the descriptive qualitative type of research because this research is done in order to analyze the phenomena of women?s language by describing the occurence in the form of words. After following the techniques in analyzing the data, it can be concluded that Anna?s character uses nine features (Lexical hedges or fillers, Tag questions, Rising intonation on declaratives, ?Empty? adjectives, Precise color terms, Intensifiers, ?Hypercorrect? grammar, ?Superpolite? forms, Avoidance of strong swear words, and Emphatic stress) and serves six functions of women?s language (to express uncertainty, to get response, to express feeling, to emphasize an utterance, to soften an utterance, and to start a discussion).} }
