abstract: Muh. Nur Dear G. 2016. The Utilization of Manuscript Collection at the
Language Hall Library of Yogyakarta as the Resources for Library User.
The objective of this graduating paper is to examine the use of manuscript
collection at the Language Hall Library of Yogyakarta as the information sources
for the user therefore the manuscript collection will be appropriate with the user
necessity. It is a descriptive quantitative research. The method of collecting data
is by using questionnaires and observation. Meanwhile, the main instrument used
to collect the data is enclosed by using likert scale. The population of this
research are the users at the Language Hall Library of Yogyakarta in collection
room who use manuscript collection. The sample of this research are 73
respondents of 270 library users. The method that is used to take a sample is
accidental sampling. The researcher uses correlation form of product moment to
analyze the data. The result gained from this research is that the utilization of
manuscript collection at the Language Hall Language Library of Yogyakarta as
the sources of information is included into rare intensity. This statement is proved
by the grand mean score (2,46). In which the intensity of manuscript collection
usage in Yogyakarta Language Center as the information source for the reader is
seldom.
