%X The regional archive office has many archives repertory. Therefore, in order to
keep its integrity, those archives need a good processing. All this time, there has
been no evaluation of archival processing in the Kantor Arsip Daerah Sleman. The
Kantor Arsip Daerah Sleman uses processing procedure which governed by
ANRI. This study aims to know how the archive static processing and the
processing’s obstacle in the Kantor Arsip Daerah Sleman. The method of data in
this study uses observation, interview, and documentation. The test plan for
validity data uses credibility test. The way how the test works uses observation
extension, triangulation, discussion, and member check. Whereas, the technical
method analysis uses Mettew B. Miles and A. Michael Hubermen’s model, there
are reduction data, presentation, and verification. The results showed that the
archives static processing in the Kantor Arsip Daerah Sleman comprise: 1)
Archives identification; the process of choosing and checking archives. 2) Archive
description; write out the data element that included in archive based on standard.
3) Making definitive scheme; archive classifying based on the original structure
organization. 4) Static archive maneuver; sorting the archive based on the year it
made. 5) Definitive numbering; numbered the archive to static archive that sorted
based on the year it made. 6) Physic maneuver; wrapping archive procedure. 7)
Labeling the boxes and arranging the archive; the procedure when the archive
which wrapped put in the boxes. 8) Writing the archive inventory; the procedure
when the archive data that processed, it be re-examined then input to computer. 9)
The pick-test rating; the rating of static archive guidance. 10) Ratification of
archive inventory; printing the static archive guidance and signed to be ratified.
11) The result of processing; the result is archive senarai. Whereas, the obstacles
of the static archive processing in the Regional Archive Office are classification
archive that has been careless from the sender of agency archives, and the
information technology which is lack adequate. The writer gives advance that the
archivist needs to be more conscientious in sorting the archive. As well as, the
Regional Archive Office needs to improve the facilities and the infrastructure
information to support the effectiveness and efficiency of the management of
archives.
