        abstract = {The study of information literary activities aims to know the role of the activities in
utilizing the electronic journals that are provided by the library of Muhammadiyah University
of Yogyakarta for its users. The reach method that is used in this study is qualitative method
with descriptive approach. The data collection technique of this study uses observation,
interview, and documentation. For the data analysis, it uses Miles and Huberman theory with
three steps; data reduction, data presentation, and drawing the conclusion. This study uses
credibility method that consists of extended period of observation, triangulation, and member
check for the test of data validity. This study concludes that there are eight types of information
literary activity role in the library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta; the beginning
of, socialization strategy of, implementation of , trainer of, material of, delivering method of,
obstacles of information literacy activities in the library of Muhammadiyah University of
Yogyakarta, and utilizing the electronic journals in the library of Muhammadiyah University of
Yogyakarta. According to the research conclusion, the researcher suggests due to giving the
information literary activity service, the library of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta
needs to concern more about the facilities that are used in the activity, and to add the competent
human resource for maximizing the activities.}
