Djazim Rohmadi., M.Si. abstract: This research aims to determine how the service reference in library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta according to users, to know how the users satisfaction towards reference service in library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and to know is there any effect of reference services towards users satisfaction in library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The type of this research is descriptive associative quantitative. The researcher used questionners as the primary data, observation, documentation and interview as the datas support. The variables used independent variables (reference service) and dependent variable (users satisfaction). Sampling is done by using accidental sampling technique, with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data analysis using mean, grand mean and simple linear regression formula and the data processed with SPSS version 16 for Windows. The results showed that reference services in the Library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta including the category of well proven Grand Mean premises by 3.63. And Users satisfaction in the well category as evidenced by the Grand Mean of 3.613. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between reference service toward user satisfaction in library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. It can be seen from the results of a simple linear regression calculation from t count amounted to 6,918 , where t count t table at significant level of 2.5% r table at 1.984. effect of reference services towards user satisfaction in library of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has a percentage of 32.8%.
