Macroeconomic variables are proxied by inflation, national income, interest rates, the money supply and the exchange rate as an independent variable. Profitability of Islamic Banks proxied by Return On Equity (ROE) as the dependent variable. The data in this study were obtained from published reports that Islamic Banks became the object of research through the website while the other secondary data obtained from Bank Indonesia and the site reports published by the Central Bureau of Statistics. Sampling technique in this study used is purposive sampling. The sample in this study were four Islamic Banks, there are Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI), Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM), and Bank Mega Syariah and Bank Negara Indonesia Syariah (BNIS). Data analysis techniques used in this research are cointegration analysis and Error Correction Model (ECM). The results showed that inflation, national income, and the exchange rate in the short term and the long term didn’t affect the profitability of Islamic Banks.
