%X Development of Islamic economic one of which can be seen from the  banking sector. Bank one of which is BPRS is the Islamic Financial Institution  that have contribution to supporting the economic activities of society and  improve the standard of living for be better. As financial institution based on  syariah that was not offset by the performance evaluation model in accordance  with Islamic principle. Performance measurement is still same with conventional  banking when the two type of banks have different principles and objectives.  Therefore need performance evaluation model that suitable with syariah purpose.  This study aims to determine the working condition of BPRS in  Yogyakarta Special Region in terms of aspects of maqashid syariah approach  Maqashid Syariah Index (MSI). And then of result to comparative measurements  working condition BPRS one and another and to rank from the calculate  Maqashid Syariah Index (MSI) based on weight value from each element of ratio  maqashid syariah. This study include a quantitative descriptive research. As for  the data used is secondary data from the quarterly financial statements of the  BPRS from 2013-2015.  Based on the result of rank Maqashid Syariah Index (MSI) to be number  one is Mitra Harmoni Yogyakarta, the next Danagung Syariah, Barokah Dana  Sejahtera, Mitra Cahaya Indonesia, and Mitra Amal Mulia. All of BPRS have  advantages and disadvantages each in implementing element of maqashid syariah.
