Nur Untoro,M.Si ID - digilib21321 UR - https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/21321/ A1 - ROHMATUL ASHFIYA?, NIM. 11690039 Y1 - 2016/06/28/ N2 - This research aims to determine: (1) differences of cognitive learning outcomes and affective learning outcomes among students who following Guided Inquiry learning and students who following direct learning; ( 3 ) the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning to improve cognitive learning outcomes of students. affective learning outcomes of students who following Guided Inquiry learning. This research is a Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design .We used simple random sampling , as a result we have XA as a experimentation class and XC as a control class. We used pretest-posttest form and observation form as a instrument. To analysing data we used statistical parametric t-test , statistical nonparametric that is mann-whitney test , normalized gain ( n-gain) and effect size . The result showed that: (1)There is a difference in cognitive learning outcomes between students who following guided inquiry learning and students who attend direct learning , from the t test value sig . ( 2-tailed ) of 0,037 0,05. There is no difference in affective learning outcomes between students who following guided inquiry learning and students who attend direct learning , from mann-whitney test value sig.( 2-tailed ) of 0,895 0,05 .(2) Guided inquiry learning is effective to improve students cognitive learning outcomes seen from the average of n-gain experiment class 0,52 is larger than n-gain control class is 0,41 and effect size of 1,174 ( high ). (3) affective learning outcomes based on accumulated score is 2,86 and the classification is good.
