N2  - This research was intended to identify guidance on collection development
and to study of collection development in the Central Library of Integrated
Campus of the Islamic University of Indonesia. The research used qualitative
method with descriptive analytical approach. The subject was head of library as
informant, while the object was working division in the library. This research used
in-depth interview, but it still used observation and documentation methods. Data
was analyzed based on Milles and Huberman?s theory including data reduction,
data display, and verification. This research was taken sub-variable of Evan?s
theory, namely, organizational vision, mission and goal, general description of
people served, service identification, collection parameter, collection looked for
by library user category of primary library user, collection format, policy
composing selector identification, identification of way to select selector, gift,
weeding, evaluation and library user?s claim. Based on result of comparison of 13
sub variables presented by Evans, making procedure in the Central Library of
Integrated Campus of the Islamic University of Indonesia in Yogyakarta have suit
Evan?s theory presented in this research.
