abstract: additional funding, including equity or long-term investments based on Islamic
principles (sukuk). The rapid growth of sukuk is due to the uniqueness and
differences with conventional bonds thanks to which it has its own advantages,
including the higher possibility of acquisition for yields than conventional bonds.
Information from the events of sukuk issuance, have an impact on stock returns.
This study aims to analyze further the influence of sukuk issuance value and its
rating to the return-stock that occurre on companies issuing sukuk and listed in
Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI).
The population used in this study is the companies issuing the listing Islamic
bonds (sukuk) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2009-2015. There are 41
companies that have issued securities and issued the stock. Those fitting the
requirements to be the sample of the study are 10 companies with 36 sukuk.
The results of this study is the value of sukuk gives positive effect on stock
returns, showing that the value of sukuk contains sufficient information to the
decision taken by the investor. Variables rating sukuk issuance gives positive
effect on stock returns, showing that the rating sukuk able to influence investors in
making investment decisions as it did also on variable sukuk issuance. Due to the
Indonesian capital market now that have started influenced the activity of sukuk
issuance by the company.
