abstract: The object of this research is Life Insurance Company has conventional and
Islamic products unit registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in the
period 2012- 2014. The data used are annual financial statements life insurance
company that obtained from the website of each company. This study was conducted
by reviewing RBC (Risk Based Capital) companies and data time series for the data
research for 3 years.
Based on the results of a comparison of the financial performance of the
known level of solvency of both units are very different to conventional units showed
good performance of the Islamic unit seen from the amount of the percentage of
fulfillment of solvency margin . For the difference of using independent t-test to get
the same result that the second unit in terms of making hypotheses  0.05 Ha rejected
it due to similarities in the calculation of the ratio and the only differences in the
agreement (contract ) .
