"Objectives of this research are ( 1) To know the characteristics of Islamic-Scientific\r\nintegration based learning tool for MI 5th grader on key subject \"How Living Things Adapt\"\r\noriented to guided discovery approach; (2) to know ifthe learning tool that is built is suitable for\r\nteacher as a reference in teaching science.\r\nThis is an R&D research with 4-D model (four D model). It consists of 4 stages of developments:\r\nDefine, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. One stage, Disseminate, is left undone since the results\r\nof this research are not spread to other schools (but the school in which the research took place),\r\nthus there were only three stages, having the develop at the final stage. The research used several\r\ninstruments, namely observation form and questionaire. Descriptive analysis was employed to\r\nanalyze the data. Kinds of data that were analyzed including appropriateness analysis, students\r\nresponse, learning outcomes and teaching performance.\r\nOutput of this research shows that ( 1) Science learning tool for MI 5th grader on key subject\r\n\"How Living Things Adapt\" is created with characteristics implying Islamic-Scientific integration\r\nvalues which can be designed on syllabus, lesson plans, lesson materials, exercise and assessment\r\nforms, and using the approach of guided discovery; (2) Product of science learning tool for MI 5th\r\ngrader on key subject \"How Living Things Adapt\" is avowed as suitable for application in science\r\nteaching with 'Good' quality based on reviewer assessment and got positive responses from the\r\nstudents.Keywords: Islamic-Science integration-based learning tools, guided discovery approach, research\r\nof development"^^ .
