Internet acts as a conduit of information, especially in the field of education. The Internet also serves as a medium of communication. This study aims to determine the use of the Internet as a medium of communication in improving students' learning activities in the process of online learning in the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Researchers used descriptive qualitative method. The collection of data through observation, interviews, documentation, and collection of literature sources. The results showed the use of the Internet as a medium of communication in enhancing learning activities have been successful. Three internet applications collaborated with three factors to improve learning activity only WWW and email applications that show positive results for high intensity use. But internet applications News Group / E-learning as a medium of communication in improving the learning activity indicates poor results because of the lack of dissemination of the e-learning system.} }
