description: This study aimed to test the construct validity of takzim. Takzim is the attitude of santri  (students at boarding school) to honor the ustaz or ustazah (teachers at boarding school), it  expects blessing on science that has ustaz or ustazah given. In testing the construct validity of  takzim, construct validity of obedience becomes comparison construct. Construct of  obedience has became comparison of takzim because both of them have the same meaning.  Obedience is someone’s behavior to obey another who has more power. The method is used  to test this research is Eksploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Stages in EFA is validation of  indicators of takzim qualitatively through professional judgment, cognitive debriefing and  testing discriminant validity of the construct of takzim toward the construct of obedience. The  subjects in this research were 289 subjects, with five ustaz or ustzah as expert professional  judgment for takzim, two subjects of the representation of general people (non santri), four  subjects of the representation santri for pre-eliminary try out and 185 subjects who  participated in the fulfilling scale. The results show that the construct of takzim consist of  four dimensions i.e. respecting ustaz or ustazah, respecting science (kitab or books),  respecting friends and, perseverance, continuity and interest in learn. The result of EFA  analysis also found the dimensions construct of takzim which overlaped with dimension  construct obedience. The overlaping dimensions with obedience is respect ustaz or ustazah  and respect science (kitab or books). The factors in the construct of takzim which is spesific  and cannot be explained by factors within the construct of obedience is respecting friends  and, perseverance, continuity and interest in learning.
