Effectiveness of Self-Regulation-Based Group Counseling for Reducing Procrastination of Academic Dysfunction among Students of MTs. N "X" of Yogyakarta. Thesis, PPS UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Islamic Education Studies Program, Concentration of Islamic Guidance And Counseling, 2016. The research objective was to review the effectiveness of self-regulation-based group counseling for reducing procrastination of academic dysfunction among students of MTs. N "X" of Yogyakarta. This was an experimental study involving 16 subjects taken from Class VIII subdivided into experimental and control groups based on purposive samples. The research design used non-randomized pre-test and post-test control group design. The data was collected using procrastination scale of academic dysfunction. The collected data was analyzed using T-Test, ie, paired sample test and independent sample test. The results of the analysis of paired sample test in the experimental group showed a value of Sig. 0.1 0.05, meaning there were differences in subjects’ reduced scores of procrastination of academic dysfunction before and after being treated. For the control group, the value of sig. was 0541 0.05, meaning there were no differences in the scores between pre-test and post-test. The analysis results of the independent sample test showed a value of Sig. 0.01 0.05, meaning there were differences of the scores of procrastination of academic dysfunction between experimental group and control group. For the results of difference test for the scores of pre-test and post-test between experimental group and control group revealed a mean value of 30.1250 for the experimental group, and 2.8750 for the control group. This means that there were differences in the score values of pre-test and post-test between experimental and control groups. From the findings of the analysis, it can then be concluded that the self-regulation-based group counseling based is effective for reducing procrastination of academic dysfunction among student of MTs.
