"The village is the governance structure at the bottom and directly in contact\r\nwith the public. The village has the potential and assets that can be developed to build\r\npublic welfare. Therefore, the village government has a strategic role in the economic\r\nempowerment of the community. The village government of Bleberan exploits the potential\r\nand assets for economic empowerment of communities through the development of\r\ntourism village. This study aims to assess the measures undertaken by the Bleberan village\r\ngovernment in building a tourism village and its impact on the local economy. Research is\r\nconducted qualitatively by the method of collecting data through observation, interview,\r\nand documentation. In addition, the questionnaire is used to complete the data. Based\r\non the research it is found that the construction of tourism village has done through the\r\nstages of village potential exploration, building a dream, forming a strategy, and taking\r\naction. Meanwhile, economic empowerment is done through awareness, provision of\r\nfacilities, and training of skills. The result of the development of tourism village gives\r\nimpact on work opportunities, increased income, and investment growth in the tourism\r\nbusiness for the local community.\r\nKeywords: impact, tourism village, economic empowerment."^^ .
