A thesis of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study\r\nProgram, Master Program of Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty UIN Sunan Kalijaga 2015.\r\nThis thesis was aimed to know the difference of students’ learning outcomes using\r\nremedial teaching program between peer tutor method and convensional method in MIN\r\nSleman Yogyakarta, to know the difference of students’ learning outcomes using\r\nremedial teaching program between work assignment method and convensional method\r\nat MIN Sleman Yogyakarta.\r\nThis research methodology was quasi experimental research with nonequivalent\r\ncontrol group design where the subjects were the fifth grade students who had not\r\npassed the passing grade fixing by the school, that is 75 and also obligated to follow\r\nremedial program. The students who followed remedial teaching program at MIN\r\nTempel consisted of 18 students from the total 94 students or 19.1%. However, at MIN\r\nYogyakarta 1 consisted of 13 students from the total 33 students or 39.3%. The\r\nexamining was done using nonpharametric with Man-Whitney test or U test.\r\nThe result of this research showed that, first, pair tutor method had more influence\r\nthan convensional method in increasing students’ learning outcomes. It was proved by\r\nthe average (mean) of posttest scores in experimental class, 8.11 higher than the average\r\n(mean) of posttest scores in control class, 6 at MIN Tempel. Meanwhile, at MIN\r\nYogyakarta 1, the everage (mean) of posttest scores in experimental class was 9.5\r\nhigher than the average (mean) of posttest scores in control class, 6. Then, from the\r\nanalysis result using Mann-Whitney test (U Test) using SPSS 16.0 for windows, it could\r\nbe seen that test statistics table showed asymp.sig.(2tailed) as high as 0.017 < 0.05, so\r\nthat Ha was accepted at MIN Tempel. Moreover, at MIN Yogyakarta 1, it showed that\r\nasymp. Sig. (2tailed) as high as 0.002 < 0.05, so that Ha wa accepted. It meant that the\r\ntreatment using pair tutor had more influence in increasing students’ learning outcomes\r\nin remedial teaching program. Second, work assignment method had more influence\r\nthan convensional method in increasing students’ learning outcomes. It was proved by\r\nthe average (mean) of posttest scores in experimental class as high as 8.33, higher than\r\nthe average (mean) of posttest scores in control class, 5.88 at MIN Tempel. In the other\r\nhand, at MIN Yogyakarta 1, the average (mean) of posttest scores in experimental class\r\nas high as 9.5, higher than the average (mean) of posttest scores in control class as high\r\nas 6.42. Furthermore, from the analysis result of Mann-Whitney (U test) using SPSS\r\n16.0 for windows, it could be seen that test statistics table showed asymp.Sig.(2tailed)\r\nas high as 0. 006 < 0.05, so that Ha was accepted at MIN Tempel. Whilst, at MIN\r\nYogyakarta 1, it showed asymp. Sig. (2tailed) as high as 0.002 < 0.05, so that Ha was\r\naccepted. It could be concluded that Ha was accapted. It means that the treatment using\r\nwork assignment has more influence in increasing the students’ learning outcomes in\r\nremedial teaching program.\r\nKeywords: remedial teaching, peer tutor, work assignment.\r\n[ABSTRAK]\r\nTujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa\r\nyang mengikuti program remedial teaching melalui metode tutor sebaya dengan metode\r\nkonvensional di MIN Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta, untuk mengetahui perbedaan\r\nhasil belajar antara siswa yang mengikuti program remedial teaching melalui metode\r\npemberian tugas dengan metode konvensional di MIN Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta.\r\nMetode penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain\r\nnonequivalent control group design, dimana yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini adalah\r\nsiswa kelas V yang belum mencapai KKM yang ditetapkan sekolah sebesar 75 dan\r\nwajib mengikuti program remedial. Siswa yang mengikuti program remedial teaching\r\ndi MIN Tempel berjumlah 18 siswa dari total 94 siswa atau 19,1%, sedangkan di MIN\r\nYogyakarta I berjumlah 13 siswa dari total 33 siswa atau 39,3%. Pengujian yang\r\ndilakukan melalui statistik nonparametrik dengan uji Man-Whitney atau U Test.\r\nHasil penelitian menunjukan Pertama metode tutor sebaya lebih berpengaruh\r\ndaripada metode konvensional dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dibuktikan\r\ndengan rata-rata (mean) nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 8,11 lebih tinggi\r\ndibandingkan rata-rata (mean) nilai posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 6 pada MIN Tempel.\r\nSementara pada MIN Yogyakarta 1 rata-rata (mean) nilai posttest kelas eksperimen\r\nsebesar 9,5 lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata (mean) nilai posttest kelas kontrol\r\nsebesar 6. Kemudian dari hasil analisis Uji Mann-Whitney (U Test) melalui SPPS 16.0\r\nfor windows dapat dilihat tabel test statistics diperoleh hasil asymp.Sig.(2tailed) sebesar\r\n0,017 < 0,05, sehingga Ha diterima pada MIN Tempel. Sementara pada MIN\r\nYogyakarta 1 diperoleh hasil asymp.Sig.(2tailed) sebesar 0,002 < 0,05, sehingga Ha\r\nditerima. Hal ini berarti bahwa perlakuan (treatment) berupa metode tutor sebaya\r\nterbukti lebih berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada program\r\nremedial teaching. Kedua metode pemberian tugas lebih berpengaruh daripada metode\r\nkonvensional dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Dibuktikan dengan rata-rata\r\n(mean) nilai posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 8,33 lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata\r\n(mean) nilai posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 5,88 pada MIN Tempel.
