abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keharmonisan
keluarga dengan karakter disiplin dan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar
sumbangan efektif keharmonisan keluarga dalam membentuk karakter disiplin
pada siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3
Kalasan yang berjumlah 86 siswa, alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan di
dalam penelitian ini adalah skala keharmonisan keluarga dan skala karakter
disiplin. Teknik pengambilan sample yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini
adalah teknik purposive sampling. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah teknik product moment dari pearson. Hasil analisis
menunjukkan bahwa, keharmonisan keluarga dengan karakter disiplin memiliki
nilai r sebesar 0,532 dan nilai p sebesar 0,000 (P < 0,05) dan hasil tersebut
menunjukkan ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara keharmonisan
keluarga dan karakter disiplin. Semakin tinggi tingkat keharmonisan keluarga
maka semakin tinggi juga tingkat karakter disiplin pada siswa, sebaliknya
semakin rendah keharmonisan dalam keluarga maka semakin rendah juga karakter
disiplin pada siswa, dan dapat disimpulkan hipotesis penelitian yaitu ada
hubungan positif antara keharmonisan keluarga dengan karakter disiplin diterima.
Sumbangan efektif keharmonisan keluarga terhadap karakter disiplin sebesar
0,283 (28,3%).

This study aims to determine the relationship between family harmony
with the character of the discipline and to know how big the family harmony
effective contribution in shaping the character of discipline in students. The
subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kalasan totaling 86 students,
means of data collection used in this study is the scale of family harmony and
discipline the character scale. Sampling technique used in this research is
purposive sampling technique. Methods of data analysis used in this study is the
Pearson product moment technique, the analysis shows that, family harmony with
the character of the discipline has a r value of 0.532 and p value of 0.000 (P
<0.05) and the results showed a positive relationship between harmony families
with discipline code, the higher the level of family harmony, the higher the
character level of discipline in students, conversely the lower the harmony in the
family, the lower is also the character of discipline in students, it can be concluded
the research hypothesis that there is a positive relationship between family
harmony with the character of the discipline received. Effective contribution to
the character of the discipline of family harmony of 0.283 (28.3%).
